In a recorded eight minute video, Pope Leo XIV congratulated Franciscan University of Steubenville, staffed by Franciscan friars of the Province, on its 50th anniversary of its Summer Youth Conferences. The video was shown on June 19th to thousands of youth gathered at Franciscan University's campus in Steubenville as well as satellite Youth Conference sites in Dallas, Denver, and Orlando. In the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Holy Father invited the youth to seek "authentic peace and perfect joy, for these things were an important part of his life." 

The video will continue to be aired at nineteen Youth Conferences scheduled throughout the summer where over 40,000 youth are scheduled to attend.
