2016 Postulant Class

On September 18, 2016 the postulants of the Third Order Regular Franciscans, Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus received the TAU cross as they begin their postulant year.  Postulancy is a nine month period where men are introduced to religious life, initiated into Franciscan spirituality, and concentrate on human development. During this time, postulants live in Loretto, Pennsylvania, at Saint Bonaventure Friary and may be enrolled at St. Francis University as a part-time student. Most postulants take two courses each semester, which might include philosophy, religious studies, or pastoral ministry, and they are engaged in a weekly volunteer ministry.
